AN UNUSUAL .177 BARREL-COCKING AIR-RIFLE, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'GEM TYPE', serial no. 7811,
possibly for 1911, with blued octagonal 16in. barrel, moulded breech-block, 'T' bar locking catch with spoon-shaped thumb piece and integral rear-sight notch, slanting nickel-plated air-chamber formed of two halves, the internal mainspring concealed and apparently compressed by a central bar or possibly even stretched, walnut butt-stock with nickel-plated heel-plate and a cast, nickel-plated cocking link forming the trigger-guard, the whole with much original finish
